The Jernigan Law Firm is committed to working hard to serve the needs of our clients as well as our community where we live, work, and play. Here are some of the community organizations in which our firm is actively involved with donation of our time and/or resources.

Holy Cross Anglican Primary School

Leonard Jernigan went to San Pedro, Belize on a mission trip with members of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church (Raleigh) to work construction at the Holy Cross Anglican Primary School, which helps children who otherwise would not receive an education. For more information on this amazing school

NCAJ Food Drive

Kristina Thompson organized the collection of non-perishable food items for the North Carolina Advocates for Justice program “Dare to Care: Feed Those in Need” food drive. This project is sponsored by the New Lawyers Division of the NCAJ, and is a statewide program done on an annual basis. In 2010, Ms. Thompson organized a collection of over 2,000 pounds of food to help replenish the Food Drive’s resources for Thanksgiving. For more information on the Food Bank

Raleigh’s Adopt-A-Stream Program

Mr. Jernigan recently participated in a stream clean-up under the sponsorship of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church. He helped clean a branch of the Beaverdam Creek which runs from Wade Avenue to Glenwood Avenue. Sources of pollution are varied and hard to detect simply through the monitoring of water quality, so the City has declared that the best way to seek out the pollution sources is to physically walk the streams.
